چکیده

In this paper, the three-dimensional bowl surface was obtained by reasonably planning radial heating path taking laser as heat source and stainless steel composite plate (06Cr19Ni10/1Cr17Mn6Ni5N/06Cr19Ni10) research object, forming process of studied. It found that target bending inside-outside symmetric scanning strategy (strategy d) had highest accuracy. The deformation increased with increase power (P), then decreased line length (L), speed (V). Moreover, approximately linear number repeated (N), optimal conditions P = 500 W, V 10 mm/s, L 20 mm, N 7. A thermodynamic coupling model a three-layer established verified experimentally.

Characterization of a Laser Surface-Treated Martensitic Stainless Steel

Laser surface treatment was carried out on AISI 416 machinable martensitic stainless steel containing 0.225 wt.% sulfur. Nd:YAG laser with a 2.2-KW continuous wave was used. The aim was to compare the physical and chemical properties achieved by this type of selective surface treatment with those achieved by the conventional treatment. Laser power of different values (700 and 1000 W) with four ...

Experimental and 3D Finite Element Studies of CW Laser Forming of Thin Stainless Steel Sheets

Laser forming as a springback-free and noncontact forming technique has been under active investigation over the last decade. Previous investigations are mainly focused on forming of large and thick workpieces using high power lasers, with less work on precision, micro-scale bending of small and thin sheets. In this work, a 4 W continuous wave argon ion laser is used as the energy source, and t...

Nanosecond Laser Surface Patterning of Bio Grade 316L Stainless Steel for Controlling its Wettability Characteristics

In this work, potential of the nanosecond laser processing technique on manipulating the surface wettability of 316L bio grade stainless steel is investigated. Results show that the steel wettability toward water, improves significantly after the laser treatment. Different analyses are assessed in correlation with wettability using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Scanning Tunneling Microsco...
